The Civiqs surveys of likely voters in Florida, North Carolina, and Arizona were conducted from October 29 - November 2, 2022.
Civiqs will be releasing surveys of likely voters in key 2022 election states through Election Day.
Republican Senator Marco Rubio is ahead of Democratic challenger Val Demings in the race for U.S. Senate in Florida, 52% to 45%. Despite Rubio’s lead, he is viewed unfavorably by 48% of likely voters in Florida, and favorably by 46%. Demings receives a 40% favorable rating, with 51% holding an unfavorable view.
In the campaign for Governor of Florida, Republican Ron DeSantis leads Democrat Charlie Crist, 54% to 45%. Most voters in Florida have a favorable view of Governor DeSantis; he holds a 53% favorable rating and 45% unfavorable rating. Crist is viewed favorably by only 37% of likely voters in Florida and unfavorably by 56%.
President Joe Biden holds a 40% favorable rating and 56% unfavorable rating among likely 2022 voters in Florida.
The race for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina is even, with Republican Ted Budd and Democrat Cheri Beasley tied at 49%-49%. Beasley has a higher favorable rating than Budd among likely voters: Beasley is viewed favorably by 47% and unfavorably by 48% of North Carolina voters, while Budd is viewed favorably by 43% and unfavorably by 49% of voters.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper has a 50% favorable rating. However, both current U.S. Senators from North Carolina are viewed very poorly. Senator Thom Tillis has a 21% favorable rating, and Senator Richard Burr has only a 17% favorable rating. Voters in North Carolina give President Joe Biden a 43% favorable rating, with 53% viewing him unfavorably.
Democratic Senator Mark Kelly and Republican challenger Blake Masters are tied in the race for U.S. Senate in Arizona, 49% to 49%. Senator Kelly currently has a 47% favorable rating among Arizona voters, with 49% viewing him unfavorably. Masters’ favorable rating is lower; 43% of Arizona voters have a positive opinion of him, and 50% have an unfavorable opinion.
In the race for the Governor of Arizona, Republican Kari Lake narrowly leads Democrat Katie Hobbs, 50% to 48%. Lake has a 47% favorable rating, compared to Hobbs’ 41% favorable rating among likely Arizona voters.
Only 20% of voters in Arizona have a favorable opinion of Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema. Senator Sinema’s favorable rating among Democratic voters is just 7%. President Joe Biden receives a 40% favorable rating and a 56% unfavorable rating from likely voters in Arizona.
Civiqs surveyed 772 likely voters in Florida, 674 likely voters in North Carolina and 852 likely voters in Arizona from October 29 - November 2, 2022. The surveys were conducted online, among selected members of the Civiqs research panel. Sampled individuals were emailed by Civiqs and responded using a personalized link to the surveys at civiqs.com. The survey results are weighted by age, race, gender, education, and party identification to be representative of the population of likely voters in Florida, North Carolina, and Arizona. The Florida survey has a margin of error of ±3.9% at the 95% confidence level, accounting for the design effect due to weighting of 1.25. The North Carolina survey has a margin of error of ±4.9% at the 95% confidence level, accounting for the design effect due to weighting of 1.66. The Arizona survey has a margin of error of ±4.2% at the 95% confidence level, accounting for the design effect due to weighting of 1.55.
