Election 2022: New Civiqs Polls in Colorado, Oregon, and Washington

The Civiqs surveys of likely voters in Colorado, Oregon, and Washington were conducted from October 15-18, 2022.

Civiqs will be releasing surveys of likely voters in key 2022 election states through Election Day.

Colorado

Democrat Michael Bennet leads Republican Joe O’Dea in the race for U.S. Senate in Colorado, 54% to 41%. Bennet is viewed favorably by 45% of likely voters, and unfavorably by 44%. O’Dea has a lower 34% favorable rating, with 47% unfavorable and 20% unsure.

In the race for Governor of Colorado, Democrat Jared Polis leads Republican Heidi Ganahl 55% to 40%. Likely voters in Colorado have a very favorable view of Polis, who currently holds a 53% favorable and 40% unfavorable rating. Ganahl is viewed favorably by only 34% of likely voters in Colorado and unfavorably by 46%, with 21% who are still unsure about her.

President Joe Biden receives a 43% favorable rating and 51% unfavorable rating among likely 2022 Colorado voters.

Oregon

Democrat Ron Wyden leads Republican Jo Rae Perkins by a substantial margin in the election for U.S. Senator from Oregon, 55% to 38%. Wyden has a positive favorability rating, 51% favorable to 42% unfavorable. Perkins is less popular with likely Oregon voters, with a 27% favorable rating, 33% unfavorable rating, and 40% who are still unsure about her.

In the race for Governor of Oregon, Democrat Tina Kotek has the lead with 47%, followed by Republican Christine Drazan with 39%, and Independent Betsy Johnson with 7%. All three candidates have net negative favorability ratings. Kotek is viewed favorably by 41% of Oregon likely voters, and unfavorably by 50%. Drazan receives a similar 38% favorable rating and a 49% unfavorable rating. Likely voters have the most negative opinion of Johnson, who gets a 17% favorable rating and a 56% unfavorable rating, with 27% unsure.

Likely voters in Oregon give President Joe Biden a 47% favorable rating, with 49% viewing him unfavorably.

Washington

Democrat Patty Murray leads Republican Tiffany Smiley in the race for U.S. Senate in Washington, 55% to 41%. Murray receives a positive net favorability rating from likely voters, 49% favorable to 44% unfavorable. Washington voters have a more negative opinion of Smiley, as 37% view her favorably and 50% hold an unfavorable view.

President Joe Biden receives a 48% favorable rating and a 47% unfavorable rating from Washington likely voters.

Civiqs surveyed 600 likely voters in Colorado, 804 likely voters in Oregon and 698 likely voters in Washington from October 15-18, 2022. The surveys were conducted online, among selected members of the Civiqs research panel. Sampled individuals were emailed by Civiqs and responded using a personalized link to the surveys at civiqs.com. The survey results are weighted by age, race, gender, education, and party identification to be representative of the population of likely voters in Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. The Colorado survey has a margin of error of ±5.0% at the 95% confidence level, accounting for the design effect due to weighting of 1.58. The Oregon survey has a margin of error of ±4.3% at the 95% confidence level, accounting for the design effect due to weighting of 1.58. The Washington survey has a margin of error of ±4.5% at the 95% confidence level, accounting for the design effect due to weighting of 1.50.
